In 2015 I did not envision a business centered around seaglass. But life, and God, tend to often circumvent the unusual paths. In 2014 our two year old boxer, Charlie, was diagnosed with an extreme sarcoma. After surgery, cyber knife radiation treatments, chemotherapy and follow up visits, our veterinary expenses quickly became a financial burden for us. I prayed hard asking God for help. Two friends graciously shared their beach finds with me and I began creating my art to pay Charlie’s expenses.I named my company “Godwinks” knowing this was something God had placed in my path and winks for the short time Charlie was with us. Six months after treatment Charlie passed. Sometimes in tragedy we find life’s purpose. Charlie and God have indeed given my life new purpose.
Worn by waves, recycled by water, beach glass and sea glass are products of both Mother Nature and man. Bottles, jars and sunken treasures are tumbled by the water to form these incredible gems found on the shores. Every piece of glass I use is handpicked by myself, family and friends. I love to find pieces and I envision what they will become! Every picture I create is one of a kind, as are the natural tumbled pieces of glass.
